Our teachers are qualified Early Childhood Professionals. Each classroom is staffed by a Lead Teacher who has completed all State educational requirements and has demonstrated competency in teaching young children. Additional classroom teachers are hired as needed to enhance our programs. All staff members are trained in CPR and First Aid.

Kim Silverman

Miss Kim

Miss Kim is the Lead Teacher in our Preschool 3 and 4 classrooms. She is currently the Associate Director of Hampstead Village Preschool.  She received her Lead Teacher certification from North Shore and Manchester Community College. She has been working in the field for 17 years and her experience is with Infants to Pre-Kindergarten. Miss Kim began working at the Hampstead Village Preschool in March 2014.


marisa LaBranche

Miss Marisa

Miss Marisa started volunteering in the infant room in March 2015. She is the mother of Talia and Kara as well as daughter-in-law of Mrs. Richard. She loves children and wants to volunteer her time here at the Hampstead Village Preschool.  She spends most of her time in the infant and toddler rooms.  She is currently attending workshops for early childhood education.  She will begin her college courses in September of 2017.

Rachel Denton

Miss Rachel

Miss Rachel is an Associate Teacher in the Toddler and Infant rooms; she is currently working on her degree in Early Childhood/Special Education at Great Bay College. She has been employed at the Hampstead Village Preschool since January 2013.

Tasha Smith

Miss Tasha

Miss Tasha has worked at the Hampstead Village Preschool since 2006; she has two children, Ethan and Zoe. Miss Tasha began volunteering at preschools when she was 15 years of age and has been working in the field for more than 10 years. She received her teacher status through courses she has taken at Great Bay College.

Miss Tasha has worked as Lead teacher in the Extended Care program and the Infant/Toddler programs

Cathy Schoppe

Mrs. Cathy Schoppe

Mrs. Schoppe is the Office Manager for the Hampstead Village Preschool. She began working here in 2007. She is a graduate of Wheelock College with 21 Early Childhood Credits and over 1000 hrs of working with children. When not in the office Mrs. Schoppe is qualified through the state of NH to be a Lead Teacher in the classroom. You may see her substituting from time to time.

Mrs. Schoppe has two sons, Tyler and Parker. She lives in Sandown.

Beth Cope

Mrs. Cope

Mrs. Cope received her Bachelor Degree from Green Mountain College and her Masters Degree from the University of Maryland. She has over 20 years of experience in the Toddler and Preschool field. She began working for the Hampstead Village Preschool in 2000 and has been Lead Teacher in the PK 3 room as well as both the toddler 2 and toddler 1 rooms.

Mrs. Cope has taught 2 years of religious education at her church. In the past she has worked with school age children and with the special needs population.

Mrs. Cope has volunteered her time since 2007 for NOAH, (National Organization for people with Albinism and Hypo-pigmentation) where she helped to organize and implement activities for infants through Kindergarten during their bi-annual conferences.

In her spare time, Mrs. Cope volunteers at her son, William’s school in the Library. She lives in Raymond, NH

Kathy Richard

Mrs. Kathy Richard

Mrs. Richard is the Owner and Executive Director of the Hampstead Village Preschool. She is also credentialed through the state of NH as a Lead Teacher and Early Childhood Administrator. Mrs. Richard was a Dental Hygienist for 16 years, and received her degree from SUNY at Farmingdale, NY and was licensed in the States of NY and NH. She then went on to become a preschool teacher and received her schooling through Hesser College.

Mrs. Richard began to teach in the PK 3 class with Mrs. LeCours in 1995, She became the Director of H.V.P. in 1996 and bought the Hampstead Village Preschool in 2000.

Mrs. Richard has also been a Sunday school teacher for the Preschoolers and for 8 years worked with NOAH, National Organization for Albinism and Hypo-pigmentation. She organized Day Care and activities for children 6 Weeks through Kindergarten in various cities through out the country, (Las Vegas, St. Louis, Washington D.C., and San Deigo), during their Bi-annual conferences.

Mrs. Richard has lived on LI, NY, as well as MA and NH. She and her husband have 2 adult children, Alyssa and Nick. She also is a grandmother to Talia and Kara.
